CHAVA ALPERT, LCSW
Chava Alpert, MSW, LCSW has been providing clinical services to children and their families for over 20 years in the greater Chicago area. As a newly graduated Social Worker her work at Kaleidoscope Inc. focused on supporting teen mothers on their parenting journey. During her over five years as a clinician at the Virginia Frank Child Development Center, she provided individual, child, group and family therapy to the centers clientele of families with children aged 8 and under. During this time, she also served as an advocate for many families in their process of accessing services for their children in the public school system. In 2004, Ms. Alpert began working in the Learning Together program of Child Care Network of Evanston, where her work focuses on reflective social emotional consultation to teachers and administrators and direct service with children and their parents. Today, Ms. Alpert provides mental health consultation to 4 full day child care centers in Evanston. Additionally, Chava has a private practice and serves as the Mental Health consultant to a local Headstart program and a number or other private schools as well as supporting staff, children and families at Ramah Day Camp (Wheeling IL) during the summers. Throughout her career, Ms. Alpert has helped hundreds of families and early childhood educators delivering mental health, advocacy and educational services. Ms. Alpert has her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from Ben Gurion University in Israel and her Masters in Social Work from Yeshiva University in New York City. With three children in High School, Middle school and elementary school, Ms Alpert has lots of personal experience with the joys and challenges of parenting.
